Peg Leg Porker
Carey Bringle is the proprietor of the Peg Leg Porker BBQ restaurant in Nashville, Tennessee. In between competitive grills, Bringle spends his time sourcing high-end whiskeys, which he runs through an extra filtration using hickory charcoal to contribute added flavor and color. These are marketed under a quirky label featuring a three legged pig (Bingle lost his leg to cancer as a young man). His grandfather was friends with Lem and Hap Motlow of Jack Daniels, and their whiskey was a standard at family events, hence the strong affinity towards Tennessee whiskey.
12 Year Old Tennessee Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Peg Leg Porker’s 12 Year Old is an extremely limited edition, with just over 800 bottles produced. Made from a mash bill of 84% corn, 8% rye, and 8% malted barley, it’s been appropriately described as the ultimate BBQ whiskey.
The Greenbrier Whiskey Society is open to the public, so arrive early and take a seat at the bar. Prepare to salute Peg Leg Porker together on this very special gathering of the Greenbrier Whiskey Society.
Join us Thursday, August 20, 2020, 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm for the Greenbrier Whiskey Society.
